Delete your Gesty account
This page explains how to delete your account in Gesty (formerly Meet Gesty), the app on the App Store and Google Play, and which data is deleted or kept.
In the app
- Open Gesty and tap the menu button (nine dots, top right). In older versions, open Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Choose Delete Meet Gesty data or Delete full Mamagesty account and confirm. The difference is explained below.
Deletion starts right away and cannot be undone.
Without the app
Email gestyuniverse@gmail.com from the email address you sign in with, with the subject Delete my account. Say whether you want your Gesty data deleted or your whole Mamagesty account. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We delete the account within 30 days and reply when it is done.
If you booked a meeting with someone through a Gesty link and want your details removed from that booking, email us the same way and include the date of the meeting.
Delete Meet Gesty data
This deletes from our servers:
- your booking links and the bookings made on them
- your availability schedule
- your Google Calendar connection — we also ask Google to revoke Gesty's access
- your Zoom connection, if you had one — we revoke access with Zoom and try to delete the Zoom meetings we created for your bookings
- the busy times and event titles we copied from your iPhone calendar
- the events and reminders you created in Gesty
- your in-app notification inbox
Your Mamagesty account stays: your name, email, language, time zone, feedback you sent, app diagnostic logs, your devices' notification tokens and settings, and recent Live Activity cards. You can sign in again and start fresh, and other Mamagesty apps on the same account keep working.
Delete full Mamagesty account
This deletes everything in the list above, and also your account profile (name, email, language, time zone), your devices' notification tokens, feedback you sent from the app, recent Live Activity cards, and your data in the other Mamagesty apps that use the same account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
What is kept, and for how long
- Meetings you booked with other people. If you booked a time on someone else's link, your name, email and the contact you left stay in their booking, because it is their record of the meeting. They stay until that person deletes the link or their account, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Your calendars and Zoom. Events we already added to your Google or iPhone calendar stay there — they are yours. We try to delete the Zoom meetings we created for your bookings; any we can't delete stay in your Zoom account.
- App diagnostic logs. After a full account deletion we remove your account ID and sign-in details from the logs we hold. A report that arrives later — for example from another phone still signed in to the account — can still carry the ID. The random install number, device model, app version and error messages stay — and the email typed in a failed sign-in, if there was one — so we can fix bugs; they have no fixed deletion date.
- Crash and error reports already sent to Sentry. Their recent app log lines can include your former account ID. Deleting your account doesn't remove them; Sentry deletes them under its own retention period.
- A sign-up record without your name or email: your former account ID, sign-up and deletion dates, platform and sign-in method, used only to count sign-ups.
- A notification delivery log: your account ID, the kind of notification, whether it was delivered, and the last 8 characters of a device token. Entries older than 60 days are deleted every day.
- Messages already sent to our team's internal chat: the sign-up notice (name and email), feedback you sent, and error or crash alerts. Deleting your account doesn't remove them; ask us and we will delete them.
- Our hosting provider's request logs, kept under its own retention settings.
- Advertising measurement events already sent to Meta, if measurement was on — Meta keeps them under its own policy. Ask us and we will request their deletion.
